How Rugscope works

Rugscope watches the page you are already viewing, finds the token address, shows a risk summary, and badges tracked wallet activity directly on the page. It is built to give context before you trade, not to tell you what to buy or sell.

What happens when you open a token page

  1. Rugscope scans the page URL, title, metadata, links, app data, page attributes, and visible text for token addresses.
  2. When it finds a likely token, it checks public market and risk data.
  3. A movable risk panel appears on the page with the score, warnings, facts, and tracked wallet trades.
  4. The panel starts expanded so you can read the result immediately. You can drag it, resize it, or collapse it when you want more screen space.

What Rugscope checks

Liquidity

Thin pools, very low liquidity, and sharp liquidity drops can make a token easier to move or drain.

Pair age

Very new pools are treated with more caution because there is less trading history to review.

Market pressure

Rugscope looks at price drops, buy/sell pressure, FDV compared with liquidity, and recent activity.

Creator risk

For Solana tokens, Rugscope checks authority, LP lock, holder concentration, and listed risk warnings.

Wallet activity

Tracked wallet buys and sells are matched against recent pool trades and surfaced in the panel and page markers.

Trade details

When a tracked wallet trade is found, Rugscope shows the side, amount, USD volume, time, and transaction link.

Wallet tracking

  1. Open a token page and wait for the Rugscope panel to appear.
  2. Paste a wallet address into Wallet Tracker and add a label such as Dev, Whale, or Insider.
  3. Rugscope checks recent pool trades for that wallet and adds a Rugscope badge beside matching wallet text when that wallet appears on the page.
  4. When Rugscope sees a new matching trade while the extension is running, it shows a Chrome notification.

Page markers

Page markers are compact Rugscope badges beside matching wallet text on the site you are viewing. Green means a buy match, red means a sell match, purple means a tracked wallet, and pink means the token creator/dev wallet. The tracked trades list in the panel shows the amount, USD volume, time, and transaction link when available.

Wallet alert history

When a tracked wallet triggers an alert, Rugscope saves it locally. Open Wallet Alerts from the extension popup to review the wallet label, buy or sell side, amount, USD volume, token, time, and transaction link. You can refresh the list or clear it when you no longer need the history.

Moving the panel

Drag the top of the Rugscope panel to move it. Use the lower-right handle to resize it. Rugscope saves the position and size locally, so the panel stays where you placed it during future scans.

Understanding the score

Low No major warning signs were found from the available data.
Moderate Some caution signals are present, such as limited liquidity or a newer pair.
High Multiple warning signs are present, such as thin liquidity, strong sell pressure, or risky authority signals.
Critical Rugscope found severe warnings, such as possible liquidity removal or no active market.

Supported pages

Rugscope can scan any normal Chrome tab where a token address appears. It is designed for trading and token pages such as pump.fun, Axiom, DEX Screener, GeckoTerminal, Birdeye, GMGN, BullX, DEXTools, and similar platforms.

Privacy

Rugscope looks for public token and wallet addresses you choose to track. It sends detected token addresses and watched wallet addresses to public market and trade APIs so it can build the report. It does not read wallet keys, seed phrases, passwords, cookies, or private messages.

Important note

Rugscope is a risk scanner, not financial advice. A low score does not mean a token is safe, and a high score does not prove a scam. Use it as one more layer of information before making a decision.
